} Penshurst village is located a few 5 miles south of Sevenoaks in Kent, England. A village grew higher in the area of Penshurst Place. It lies between deuce lakes - a Medway and the Eden. There are numerous Tudor-looking buildings in the village, although some come Victorian. There exists likewise the vinery nearby.

A Leicester Arms, it used to be that a share of the Penshurst Estate, was owned by Sir William Sidney, granddad of poet & national leader Sir Philip Sidney. His more grandson, Viscount De L’isle was appointed Earl of Leicester withinside 1618 & it was shortly fallowing this that A Leicester Arms, erstwhile referred to as A Hedgehog, was renamed in his honour. A hostelry is currently owned privately.
